Stevens is a member of the MAC Freedom and NCAA Division III and offers 25 varsity sports (13 for men and 12 for women), 14 club sports, a wide variety of intramural sports and special events, an extensive outdoor adventure program, and a wide selection of wellness/fitness classes. Located in Hoboken, New Jersey, a historic small town that is just minutes away from Manhattan, Stevens has an enrollment of over 3,600 undergraduate students.
The head coach’s top priority must be the overall collegiate experience of the student-athlete and creating a positive and healthy team culture that encourages learning and development.
Job Requirements:
- Manage all aspects of a highly competitive NCAA Division III women’s volleyball program.
- Oversight of student-athlete academic progress.
- Recruitment of appropriate student-athletes.
- Planning and direction of team practices and match days.
- Scouting of future opponents and film study.
- Tracking of team budgets.
- Fundraising and alumni relations.
- Coordination of team travel.
- Supervision of one full-time assistant coach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, and master’s degree preferred.
- Previous coaching experience at the collegiate level in women’s volleyball is strongly preferred.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification are required.
